Man on Earth Concert

Poster for ConcertThe 2010 'Man on Earth' Concert was another success with music from a brilliant group of talented young musicians and some more engaging readings from the people of Pilton.

In 2008 there was a revival of these Concerts which used to be held in the Church of St Mary around Festival time. The 2008 and 2009 concerts and the exhibitions in the Church have had the themes of 'Summer' and 'One World'.

In 2010 the Concert on the evening of Sunday 18th July saw the welcome return of North Devon's multi-talented young musicians, adding a wonderful variety of music to the lyrical and evocative readings by Pilton Community readers on this year's theme : Man on Earth. The readings looked at how Man has used and been affected by the Earth - through the sea, farming, mountains, rivers, mining and the weather.
